Church Leaders Give “Thumbs Up” to New Weimar!

Respected church leaders and popular evangelistic speakers from across the nation are giving their enthusiastic support for the new Weimar Center of Health & Education. Together with Dr. Neil Nedley and Pastor Doug Batchelor, they sense the incredible opportunities that await the unique ministry partnership between Weimar and Amazing Facts — a partnership that will closely follow the very ministry model established by Jesus Christ and uplifted by the Spirit of Prophecy.

What a privilege to live in the last days of earth’s history, as we anticipate the soon coming of Jesus. But along with that privilege comes a responsibility entrusted to us from heaven. Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, we are to train young people and church members to use medical missionary work as a wonderful avenue of reaching those seeking truth. The Spirit of Prophecy is very clear that practical medical missionary work will be one of the most important ways of witnessing in the last days. People need to be equipped with the tools to accomplish God’s work. That is precisely the special emphasis that a revitalized Weimar is seeking to make. As a church organization connected with Amazing Facts, Weimar is planning to cooperate closely with other Seventh-day Adventist educational and health institutions to nurture the great task and proclamation God has for His remnant people, found in Revelation 14:6-12, of lifting up Christ and His righteousness, the true worship of God, and the announcement of Christ’s glorious second coming. What a unique privilege God has given us as a church and as individuals. Weimar fully intends to be an integral part of that proclamation. It is gratifying to see the earnest, determined, and heaven-inspired efforts being initiated by Weimar and Amazing Facts to assist God’s church in proclaiming the three angels' messages. Join me in praying that plans for Weimar will quickly develop, under God’s guidance, in order that more people can know of God's truth and this precious Advent message.

It was my pleasure to be a part of the Weimar Summit meetings in July 2008. The plans that were outlined to provide a quality education on the academy and college level were exciting and encouraging to me. The new Weimar, with its affiliation with Amazing Facts, has the potential to be on the cutting edge of training young people for various lines of work. The leadership team is committed to providing an education that will include instruction in soul-winning and health evangelism, which will give all graduates the tools they need to be effective workers in the cause of God. The new partnership between Amazing Facts and Weimar will meet a desperate need. Finally, a school that will specifically focus on Adventist evangelistic education! Everywhere I go, young people ask me, “Where should I go to school?” or, “Is there a school that I can attend that will definitely build my confidence in the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy and is also involved in ongoing mission and evangelism?” The new Weimar is giving me one of the best answers I’ve ever had. We believe the new partnership between Weimar and Amazing Facts came about as a direct result of the prayer and fasting of many, including Janet and myself. Many students who have attended Weimar in the past are currently making a huge impact for God’s kingdom here in the Central California Conference. Some of the main leadership directing our literature evangelism and Bible worker teams are Weimar-trained. God is using their efforts to bring church growth and revival across this conference! In addition, pastors trained at Weimar are some of our most effective. Most important, our young people are being effectively discipled and are in love with the wonderful Adventist message. We believe with all our hearts that Neil Nedley and the new leadership team he is recruiting can move Weimar past the barriers it has faced in the past, to be a premier education and health center with worldwide acclaim to God’s glory. Sherry and I have been following the new developments for Weimar College with great interest and much prayer. Eight years ago the Lord gave us a ministry called My Bible First that produces Bible lessons for children. This ministry has shown us again and again how vitally important it is for parents, teachers, pastors and leaders to work unitedly in laying a firm, solid, totally Biblical, Spirit of Prophecy reinforced foundation for their children.

Our own experience assures us that Weimar College compliments and continues the work that parents, pastors, and teachers have begun. Two years ago when our son enrolled as a student at Weimar College, we began praying for the college every morning. His time there was definitely a positive continuation of the principles he was taught in our home and church. We are grateful that through institutions such as Weimar, each of our children have gained the vision of serving the Lord as their highest goal in this life and the life to come. We pray that many parents and students will have this same opportunity and experience because of the new Weimar College! We know the leadership of the new Weimar College.

I have watched with keen interest as the developments of the new Weimar unfolded. It is my conviction that it is God’s plan to have a ministry that embraces the threefold scriptural model of proclamation, healing, and teaching.
