Weimar Center completed a weekend of strategic planning meetings on January 19, 2009. Staff worked together with President, Dr. Neil Nedley, to develop a vision and a new mission statement. The planning sessions focused on NEWSTART, Weimar Academy, and Weimar College and asked what the desired end result was, and what steps were necessary to get there.

Dr. Nedley invited Randy Siebold, Ph.D. to facilitate the planning process. Siebold is the Associate Superintendent of Education for the Michigan SDA Conference, and has a doctorate degree in process and curriculum design. Other guests included Jim Brackett, health educator, and George Jackson, who will be heading up Weimar College’s science department.

Is Weimar going to have an Adventist psychiatrist on board? My sister has schizophrenia and I cannot find an Adventist doctor who believes in our health message to help her!
